90cm range cookers- tell me what you love or loath about yours!

We need a new range cooker and as it's a big purchase I am paralysed by indecision. We only have space for a 90cm cooker so this limits the options a bit. I cook and bake a lot so it will get a lot of use. Definitely getting a dual fuel version so that narrows things down a bit.

Where I get really stuck is the second oven. The tall thin one on a 90cm range. Are they wide enough to be useful? Do I need special tins? Do you actually use yours? I had a look at a few and the Belling and Stoves ones seem to have wider versions than Rangemaster or Smeg varieties. I had been veering towards the Rangemaster as the quality seemed good but the oven is crazily skinny!!

Can anyone give me feedback on their 90cm range ovens? Particularly keen to hear about Rangemaster or Stoves.

I have a belling gourmet 90cm Induction and I love it. I use the tall oven more than the others.
I did find it a bit short at first, but turned the shelves over so the bits that stick up at the back of the shelf were underneath and now I don't have an issue.

I'd go with Belling every time, I had an issue with the tall oven not heating, Belling engineer was out in two days and fixed it on the spot. Something as simple as the thermostat dislodging in transit. He told me they were excellent, reliable things made in the UK.

Ooooh I would love to know too. I bought a faulty 90cm induction Leisure cuisine and I'm waiting for the retailer to confirm refund so I'm planning on upgrading!!

I had issues with the smaller of the ovens not heating correctly, I read the reviews and a few others have mentioned it's not as good as the larger so I can say avoid that one.

I have a 90cm Rangemaster left behind by the previous residents. I use both ovens regularly, the tall narrow one I did need to buy a couple of new tins but they're not expensive. I use the tall one a lot for smaller portions like if the kids are having different food to us, if we have a lot of sides for a roast, or there are only 2 of us for dinner. It heats up much faster as well.

Had a Rangemaster 90 Classic and have to say I hated the decision of getting it. You have to practically get on the floor to look in it and as you say the longer oven is hard to fit most of your tins in. The thermostat for the oven would die almost every year or so . We kept it 10 years before breaking it up and taking it to the local scrap metal / car crusher place.

Thanks for the replies, I'll have a look at Belling, thank you. Their skinny oven seemed a bit wider than most but then I suppose you lose that space from the other oven. Dilemma!

I did notice the Rangemaster oven was very low so I can see viewing might be tricky!

Glad to hear how you're using the tall oven. I obviously just need to alter my thinking.

Grateful for all opinions/ experiences!

I left my rangemaster behind at our last house, it was great to have a five ringed hob and 2 ovens and a grill, came in handy at Christmas. BUT it's the bending down all the time to look in, to put anything in or take it out. To clean it you're on your knees. Can be noisy.
It looked great but it's not as practical as you'd think. It depends on what you're expectations are I suppose.
