Anyone booked to see Frozen in London?

I have tickets booked to take my DD (3.5) to see frozen. Today, I’ve seen that they’ve banned under 4s from attending. I’m so disappointed as been looking forward to it for ages. Has anyone else booked and been planning to take a 3 year old? The reason is because children need to be able to sot unaided - my DD is more than capable of sitting through the show - I wouldn’t have booked it if she wasn’t!

I meant to add - I’ve heard nothing from the theatre so not sure whether I’ll get a refund or not. Has anyone heard anything?

Could you not say she is 4? Confused I’m normally honest about these things but they surely can’t change the rules for things that are already booked and promised to a little girl? If she can behave herself I would take her anyway. They can’t verify the children’s ages before you sit down or anything can they…

How will they know their age? Just she's 4 if you're asked. Unless they're requesting you take their birth certificate along or something?

I'd absolutely just say she's 4. If they push it say she's small for her age. Sod that for the sake of a few months.

I’m normally very honest but my initial thought was to just lie about her age. I checked the ages before I booked and there was nothing. I really don’t want to get there and then not let us in.

I thought it always had a 6+ rating? I remember looking into it when it was first announced pre Covid (when DD was 6!)

The issue will be noise etc. With tickets costing up to £100, people won't want disruption.

I totally get that people don’t want disruptions. That said, I’d booked a matinee in the school holidays thinking it would be quite family friendly. The age restriction for Lion King and Wicked is only 3s and over are permitted so don’t get really why Frozen have changed to 4s and over.

That's pretty poor, changing the rules after people had bought tickets/told their children etc AND then not even contacting you to let you know if you can now get a refund.

I'd lie too, if you are confident your child will be well behaved.
