Best Christmas vegetarian main?

One family member is veggie, rest of us eat meat. Does anyone have any recipes/ideas for an easy(ish) thing to make for one? Don't mind having some leftovers. A shop-bought nut roast, for example, would be great if it's really good. But also happy to cook.
Any ideas much appreciated :)

Some kind of nut roast or pie with vegetarian gravy can work best as it fits well with all the standard roast dinner vegetables.

I've used this one many times, it makes a good centrepiece and its also good cold with pickles and salad and it freezes quite well):

Rose Elliot does a Pate Wellington which is also good - basically something ilke

You might find something on the vegan thread as a lot of nut loaf type recipes are also vegan:

Have had the Delia Parsnip and Cheese Roulade for the last 30 years. It is Xmas food for me. (Meat eaters love it too!). I make 4 and freeze 2 to be brought out in July/August or whenever I fancy it!

Also if its one person the suggestion of an individual pie might be fine and be less work - Higgidy and Clives both do some decent veggie and vegan options.

I'm very suspicious of shop bought vegetarian and vegan options they usually have a bizarre combination of spices in and half a ton of pepper and chilli. I don't know what the manufactureres think they are making food for!
You can't beat a simple homemade nut roast with gravy.

I remember my MIL being very excited about the “cheese and red onion Wellingtons” she had sourced for me one year. It was basically a cheese and onion pasty. 😂

It was basically a cheese and onion pasty

And 90% potato and pastry with a smidgin of cheese waved at it? If I never see another cheese and onion pasty as the vegetarian option I will be entirely happy.

If the veggie is a bit of a newbie and still hankering after a 'proper' Christmas dinner, some Cauldron veggie sausages can be a good addition.

Like pp I'm veggie and generally happy with cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes. I don't need more food. I can't stand but roast. It makes me feel Ill. Last year I bought myself a little higgidy pie to go with the vegetables but it was too much food,

I used to make a nut roast when we had big family Christmases. The turkey eaters usually had a bit as well instead of stuffing.

However DC (18 and 22) are now vegetarian too and hate nut roast so I try to get the shop bought stuff before it sells out!

[quote Familyfallout]I made this last weekend and it was great, didn't bother with the tomato sauce and just had vegetarian gravy with it. I made it ahead of time and just reheated in microwave. Looked quite festive also

I regularly make this, again without the sauce. I freeze leftovers in thick slices that can be microwaved when needed.
