The Managing Director of the company I work for has numerous complaints outstanding about him. We don't have a HR department- he deals with everything. I took the grievances to the owner and she just laughed, said it was his way. He is has made filthy comments to the young girls and I now find out he doesn't have the qualifications he claims. We have a 93% turnover of staff and truly shocking glassdoor reviews. Our suppliers have also complained about his manner. My department makes al the money and my colleagues tell me he is untouchable. Should I move on or try to help? Not sure I am up for the fight.

If this is genuine the answer is so obvious I'm surprised you need to ask! Get out before the reputation of the place sticks to you too.

If the owner doesnt care then dont waste any energy on this.

Get out before you become tarnished by it.

Tell the owner, verbally, as you leave.

You'll have a new job and a clear conscience.

Leaving is the only option I’m afraid.

Don't say anything that might bite you on a reference

Get a new job and leave on good terms.

These men do not fall from power. They can even become President.

Get out. But my advice would be to leave a letter or email for the owner, outlining all the issues in writing. I'd also ensure colleagues who had issues with the man have a copy so they can use it in their own fights / tribunals if they want to.

Let them wiggle when someone does take them to a tribunal as they won't be able to say they were not aware.

Don't send it to suppliers though.

So thank you all for this last month. I got made redundant! And I found out my predecessor, the same 18 months ago. We were both director level. Anyone who challenges this Dick gets culled. I have had so many calls from staff. Not sure whether to make a formal complaint or move on?
