Child repeating unconnected phrase when anxious

Hey all! I hope you’re all well.

My daughter is doing something a little unusual, and I’m hoping to remove my worries!

She’s 3 months and 10 months.

When she knows she’s done something a bit naughty and she is aware she may be calmly told off (emphasis on calmly as I’ve never hit her etc), or she’s embarrassed (usually pooping) she begins repeating something like; “Darcey dog” - our dog, “they’re all good dogs” - Paw Patrol.

It’s jarring as it isn’t relevant to what we are doing or discussing, and it often comes in the middle of a conversation or as an answer to an irrelevant question I pose.

I usually run with it, and talk on the topic of dogs, posing light questions to divert her from her repetition. However, she wants to continue repeating it.

I have OCD, and I’m worried this could be her showing coping mechanisms of the same condition. My condition is mostly dormant, so I doubt she will have picked it up from me in every day life.

I’ve looked up echolalia and palilalia, but neither suit as the phrases are not connected to anything around her. They come from her and they’re seemingly random to the situation, although usually dog related (big interest).

Is this anxiety? Is it a stage? Am I handling this okay by changing to the topic? I’d appreciate any thought or advice! Thank you in advance!

I find this interesting as I murmur G and D words when I'm anxious and tired ( usually done unconsciously when I'm falling asleep or if I'm concentrating on something else, like reverse parking). My DH knows I've had a tough day if he catches me mumbling 'eggs and dogs' to no one in particular.
It isn't a quirk which has ever held me back OP, so I wasn't aware it might be a sign of ocd or similar.

I suppose it is anxiety.

Why is she embarrassed about going to the loo??

I have no idea why she’s embarrassed and I wish I did as I may be able to ease that. She’s fine peeing, but not pooping. I suppose it must be quite stressful for little ones because all of a sudden they’re messy and they need assistance? There’s also heavy focus on pooping in books, Youtube videos, etc, where they make it more of an “event” to poop.
