Bulb entering administration, where to go for decent energy prices?

Here

I'm glad I didn't take the advice from here NOT to remove my credit with them when all this started Hmm

Any recommendations? Any companies that are safe, but not overly expensive (even with prices going up the way they are)?

I just read this morning that the Government has set aside £1.7 billion as the cost for taking on Bulb and its customers. This is because they will be buying the wholesale gas and electricity at a higher price than what they then sell it to household customers for.

Not the best use of tax payers money IMO.

Utility point went down the Swanny in October and the advice was to sit tight and do nothing. Your credit will be safe. Don’t cancel your direct debit. Do nothing. You will be transferred over - although it’s practically December and I’ve not finished transferring yet apparently!

All the cheap deals are gone anyway.

I’ve been through it twice and it’s been fine. Don’t worry about it for a second.

Worry about the rising prices right enough as we will all be hit with them.

There aren't any energy companies that will or can take on all of Bulbs 1.7 million customers.
So if the government doesn't step in, what are supposed to do - go without electricity or gas?
