Little gifts to send to friend going through chemo

My friend is about to start chemo and I wanted to have a little list of things to send every now and then over the next 6 months so she’s knows I’m thinking of her. If it can lift her spirits even a tiny bit, that would be amazing.

Would love any ideas! Thanks

Silk sleep mask
Unscented moisturiser
Ginger sweets or tea
Bed socks
A good book
Hand held battery operated fan
Tissues (small handy packs because chemo makes your nose drip)
Lip balm
Anti sickness wrist bands

There's a fantastic site called notanotherbunchofflowers.com that specializes in these types of gifts. It's run by a lovely woman who wraps the gifts by hand. Really thoughtful gifts at decent prices.

I’ve said this before on similar threads. My dsis spent a year in hospital, and the nicest thing she received was from the mother of one of her school friend, who wrote her weekly letters, giving pleasant village gossip and gentle non-news.

I recently finished chemo and my poor hands got so dry from being ultra cautious with hand washing so hand cream, yes to lip balm, one chemo made my skin quite dry and itchy so an unscented body lotion.
My anti sickness meds worked well so maybe see how she goes with that but some nice snacks/ nibbles. I received some nice chocolates which went down well. Obviously avoid if she's sick! If she likes puzzles/sudoku that sort of thing as it can be a long day in the chemo unit.
Keeping in touch with her regularly is probably one of the best things as going through cancer treatment can be lonely.

I had a year of chemo and agree about sending a letter /card/postcard .

And maybe do'nt dismiss flowers ,it's restful to have something lovely to look at if you're in bed .

Flower cards are nice ,smallish and no need to arrange in a vase .Though a bit pricey .

Though you might be able to craft similar yourself ?

Heated throw ? Bed socks ?

I couldn't concentrate but used to like looking at catalogues ! I found them more restful than looking online .Bit off the wall but if she has any interests maybe a related catalogue ? Christmassy gift catalogue ?
