Am I weird to be sad to have realised I will not be getting any Christmas gifts this year. Apart from work secret Santa.... I'll be present less :(
Single parent, kids too little to get own, adults in our family just but for children and friends we have an outing in the spring instead. Am i weird to buy myself a stocking and surprise myself 😂

Absolutely you must treat yourself to something. When I was on my own with my kids I used to buy myself a bottle of something and some posh nibbles for when the DC were in bed .

Do it.

I bought myself some birthday presents this year. Just a few little things that I wanted but didn’t want to ask for.

No you are definitely not in the wrong to buy yourself something. How old are your children? Would it be possible to get someone else to take them shopping - you could give them the money if you can afford it and then they get to choose something for you. They might actually like doing that!

Definitely buy yourself some things you want! Even better if they're in the sort of shop that wraps them for you!

Could your parents or a friend not take your DC shopping for a little something for you?
