Is that it, he's been called or is there another reason they might write?

He's at work and will be for hours so I have to wait to find out Grin

He's a not at all mature just turned 20yo. Frankly the idea that he could be responsible for a criminal conviction (or not) is something of a worry.

I'm mid 50s and have never been called.

I have a 22 year old and I think he's be really good on a jury but not being at work for an unspecified length of time would be very problematic for him and his employer.

I never open the DC's post, it wouldn't be right.

If an 18year old can be tried as an adult then an 18 year old can sit on a jury imo.

My friend was called at 18. Actually she was still 17 but in the electoral roll as you add people as they are rising 18. Obvs they can't vote until they are 18 or do jury duty! It was also right before a levels. She deferred until after the exams and her birthday Grin
