Neighbour speeds on shared drive

So we've moved to a new house and our house is one of six in a row which share a drive which has a dead end. The neighbour in the end house speeds up the drive in his car for some reason. Can't see why as it hardly saves him any time compared to if he drove slower. It makes me jump every time he drives past the house. I have a child and another on the way. I'm worried about when they get to the age they can walk on their own he will hit one of them driving. Even when I leave the house if my husband's van is on the drive I can't see him coming in this car and if I'm with the pram he could god forbid hit the pram. He is not a friendly person and looks down whenever he sees me or my husband so I don't think trying to chat and ask him to stop will help. Does anyone have any advice. I don't drive so daily I walk up and down the drive with my child in the pram

I have a neighbour who places his bins astride the gateposts to narrow the entrance.

You might also buy a few substantian plant tubs. Paint them garish colours but make sure they are big and heavy enough to discourage bumping, and so that you can come out of your doorway.

Concrete ones are best, but you can start with plastic pots which are light until you fill them, and can be painted with gloss.

A nice christmas tree with lights, and an inflatable santa, might also be good. A parked lawnmower. Some bicycles.

I would second some things that move or spin like wind catchers on your boundary which will catch his eye as he drives and perhaps make him think.

how about a huge sign that says 'please drive slowly - young children playing here'

Pull the pram behind you until you're in a safe spot. Don't push the pram out first if you can't see what's coming.
