Best device for cleaning stone floors?!

Help please!

So, I have some lovely limestone flooring in my kitchen but keeping it clean is the bane of my life.
Because it has an uneven surface, every bit of mud from the dogs and food flung from the toddler just clings to it.
I have tried a standard mop but that just seems to smear the dirt around. A steamer doesn't do much more and I have just filled out a return form for the second karcher floor cleaner as it is just bloody useless.

Surely there must be an easy device out there for cleaning natural stone flooring that doesn't involve me getting on my hands and scrubbing with a brush?!

Try a soft sweeping brush for the cleaning bit and then a mop for the wiping it off bit

Damp mop and rub Cif in. Leave for an hour and rinse off with flash pet..

I have tried that but sweeping before doesn't make a difference to the ingrained mud. We live in the middle of nowhere so the dogs are constantly covered in mud which they then share with the floors. Even when I wash them off before bringing them it, it still seems to appear.

I meant use the soft sweeping brush wet to wash the floor with - with floor cleaner. It won't catch like a mop would. Swish it all over and then mop up the extra wet.

Ahh I see! Yes that would probably work!

I have a flag stone floor and I feel your pain.

The only way I have found to be effective is to use a deck scrubber and for really stubborn stains I need to get down on my hand and knees and use a scrubbing brush. Some days it feels like the 1820’s in here not the 2020’s.

I've got a long handled scrubbing brush from eBay or Amazon, not perfect but saves the knees!
