It really could be any age to be fair...it's just messy writing.

ThePoisonousMushroom · 17/11/2021 21:31

No idea. Could be a messy 40 year old 🤷🏻‍♀️

Findahouse21 · 17/11/2021 21:31

Looks like my dad's, so I'll go 66ish

Agreed. Looks like mine after a few wines, so 35? Or 7?
MeltedButter · 17/11/2021 21:31

65+

RedCarsGoFaster · 17/11/2021 21:32

Any age. My 41yo DHs is worse.

Unreasonabubble · 17/11/2021 21:33

Hard to read but understood the "say hi in sign language" so I would assume it is an adult.

Fallagain · 17/11/2021 21:33

Someone studying medicine? So early 20s.

WhatsWrongWithMyUsername · 17/11/2021 21:34

Looks like my 12 year old’s.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 17/11/2021 21:35

50ish

olympicsrock · 17/11/2021 21:35

Any age likely 14 upwards

blessedbethechocolate · 17/11/2021 21:35

Thanks everyone you will cheer my son up who has a real complex about his handwriting. He's 13 and says no one can understand it and often doesn't get his work marked because of it.

makelovenotpetrol · 17/11/2021 21:36

Well, as this is MN, my guess is 9 months old.

Because this would be typical stealth boast about a baby being a literary genius.

Irl, don't have a clue.

MakkaPakkas · 17/11/2021 21:39

36 and 4 glasses of wine

RattiesAndPiggies · 17/11/2021 21:40

I could only read a couple of words and I’m usually really good at reading handwriting. I’d guess 8/9?

c24680 · 17/11/2021 21:40

Could be any age to be fair, I could only read the sign language bit so not surprised it doesn't get marked to be honest

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 17/11/2021 21:41

This doesn't look like a child's writing, more like my 'to do' list after a few sherbets

Anoisagusaris · 17/11/2021 21:42

Looks exactly like my friend’s in uni. Tell your son he went on to be a successful lawyer 😁

ComtesseDeSpair · 17/11/2021 21:42

Adult? It’s an instruction note to make sure somebody does something isn’t it? Not the sort of thing a child would write.

Indecisivelurcher · 17/11/2021 21:43

Is it clearer if he doesn't do joined up writing? Just an idea.

minipie · 17/11/2021 21:45

Looks like an adult’s writing, not childish, but I have to say it is really really hard to read and I can believe a teacher wouldn’t take the time to decipher it.

Is he left handed?

Can he type?

MissCruellaDeVil · 17/11/2021 21:46

Late 30s, bottle of wine later?

danadas · 17/11/2021 21:47

My 16 year old is similar. School offered him a computer for his lessons/exams but he didnt want to stand out. He was fortunate in that he was a year group that didnt sit exams because of Covid but I do wonder what would have happened as I can't imagine how they would have marked it.

Have his teachers offered any support? Does he have any other learning needs? We were told by this age handwriting is pretty much 'set' so that's why other options were offered however he does have additional needs so that may be why.

lucysmam · 17/11/2021 21:47

My almost 12 yo's handwriting is very similar. All through primary school teachers mentioned it regularly (& tbf, sometimes even I need her to read it for me) but it's been the same forever & she doesn't fret about it.

She used to, & we have had some tense moments over it, but she's like "meh, I've written stuff down like I needed to 🤷‍♀️"

mynameiscalypso · 17/11/2021 21:52

I have terrible handwriting but I'm the only one who needs to read it. Assuming there aren't additional needs, he needs to practice clearer writing for exams etc. An examiner just won't bother reading that.
