Both this and the wildfire mentioned affect members of my family. (Luckily the White Rock Lake fire did not take my family member's home, but their neighbour lost theirs.
Two awful events to happen.

I would point out though that if you're headed to Vancouver proper, and not to the interior of the province, then you won't have many issues really. The city itself wasn't affected badly. About 1.5 hours or so outside the city some low-lying farming areas have flooded badly, and it gets worse beyond that.

I was in Vancouver at the weekend. It was very wet, but everything was normal. As a PP said, it is other areas that have been the worst affected.
As a resident of a Canadian city that has experienced both a devastating wildfire and flood in the last 5 years i understand what they’re doing though and have already donated to local relief agencies.
