Christmas crafts for the school fair

I'm on the hunt for good ideas for easy Christmas (or not!) crafts that we can put on, at scale and ideally fairly cheaply, at the school fair and it feel sure there is wisdom here!

My main idea is to get a load of wooden clothes pegs, feathers and glitter and invite them all to make their own angels (for a couple of quid a time!), but any other idea very gratefully received!

Reindeer food bags. Porridge oats, bird seed and cheerios to make environmentally friendly enough, in paper bags, design your own sticker to seal it.

My DD's school used to have a Secret Santa, whereby they bought up loads of cheap stuff for adults' Christmas presents (think bar of soap, block of chocolate etc) and the children went into the grotto with a helper elf and chose something for whoever, and then wrapped it up and wrote a gift tag with the elf's help.

Building a snowman with marshmallows and matchmakers . I've seen this done as a craft but also sold as "kits" to do at home.

If you have the budget, get some wood Christmas ornaments to paint with acrylic paint. They come with the strings to hang them.

Decorating gingerbread men.

All great ideas thank you! Decorating the gingerbread men in particular is great for 50p

Scandinavian braided Christmas hearts or folded stars. You can get the materials on www.cc-craft.co.uk. The gnomes are also popular, but I don't know if you can also get materials for those at CC Craft.

Three ice cream sticks, some glue dots, red mini pompoms, ribbon, googly eyes (pens?) and some brown pipe cleaners

Really quick, cheap and easy to make a reindeer that can be hung on the tree

3 ice cream sticks in a triangle shape (3 glue dots) red mini pompom on the bottom point (glue dot) stick on googly eyes on the 2 sticks going up, tie ribbon around the top horizontal one, and twist pipe cleaners either side of the ribbon to make antlers

You could maybe have some different colours of pipe cleaners to make them unique, or different types of eyes. You could also use pens to do the eyes to bring cost down?

We did it at a grotto I took the DC to, it was free but I'd happily of paid £1 each? They are still proud getting them out each year... And so am I 😂 because the elf asked if mummy wanted to do one to show father Christmas, and I'm a big kid at heart so I did 😂

It was really quick and easy, which means you can get more done without the stall being crowded, and no paint etc so after they'd shown father Christmas I was able to pop them in a bag as there was no mess. Also meant I wasn't worrying about clothes etc

I agree about the biscuits, it was the most popular stall when I was a child and in my DC's schools as I've suggested it over the years

Just packs of cheap rich tea biscuits, big bowl of icing (just icing sugar and water) some smartie type sweets/sprinkles/marshmallows etc. I'd look on places like ebay for bulk buying, and poundshops for Xmas themed sweets/sprinkles

Costs pennies for each one but kids will happily pay 50p-£1 to do it and walk away eating it

Parents are generally happy because it keeps them busy and they've "done something" and they get their treat so they aren't pestering for other edible treats

Get big mixing bowls for the sprinkles and get them to hold the biscuit over the bowl while they use a spoon to add sprinkles. Saves mess and waste. Hundreds and thousands are cheapest and a little goes a long way

The melted snowmen are good for older kids to try, and you could maybe make some up in advance so the icing sets and sell them separately, parents may go for it knowing the kids haven't had their fingers over everything 😂 and then they walk away with a biscuit too

Baker Ross is also really good for craft stuff, could get the stuff for the reindeers from there and they do craft type kits that are cheap enough when buying in bulk for something like this
