Hotel/cottage with sea or lake view

My sister is undergoing cancer treatment. She will have a gap between cycles hopefully late November when she will be well enough for a trip. She wants to spend a couple of days away with me.

She will be tired so plan is to sit, relax and just chat. She really wants to sit and look at the sea or a lake or a river, so a room with big windows with that type of view would be perfect.

I want it to be luxurious as this is likely to be some of our last memories together.

Does anyone know of somewhere in the Lakes/Yorkshire/Scotland/North Wales?

Thank you

No worries @AttaGirrrrl made me smile! Yes, @HippyDays we went to Elgol in Skye and stayed in a B and B overlooking the bay. Sea view was amazing and it’s right next to the mountains, so great views but long steep walk to the bottom of the village ( although won’t be a problem to park down there now I’m sure but chocka in the summer). The other lovely place is Sleat, in Skye. We stayed near Ord. That was lovely too and nearer to get to from Mallaig, ferries run frequently or you could take the bridge.

Sorry to hear about your sister. The Balcary Bay Hotel, Auchencairn Dumfries and Galloway, is the perfect place. I’ve been there several times and have often thought it would be the perfect recuperation stay. Beautifully appointed bedrooms and sitting rooms, with wonderful views.
It has direct access to the beach and benefits from the mild climate of the Gulf Stream. Take a look on their website and Tripadvisor.

The Ship Inn in Elie. Has rooms looking out over the sea. The food has gone very much downhill though sadly.

The Quay hotel in Conway, overlooks the castle and coast, nice spa too.

OP it might be worth contacting this charity:
somethingtolookforwardto.org.uk/about/

They offer various "treats" including short breaks for people going through cancer treatment.
