Odd question to those of you who have dogs

Question: Do your dogs follow your own sleep habits? In that do they usually wake when you do or are they barking at 3am for no apparent reason? Is 'sleep training' also part of general dog training?

Our 2yr old lab follows our sleep pattern, will come to bed when we do and in the morning lies at the bottom of our bed quietly, even if we are awake and chatting, only once we say "good morning" to him does he come over for a cuddle and knows that is getting up time.

He only wakes us during the night if he is desperate for the toilet (upset tummy)

Our nervous rescue is out like a light on the sofa by 9pm every night without fail, will need dragging into the garden for a wee (only once all lights and tv have been switched off and his blankie and treat are waiting for him in his bed).

The older one waits for him to be asleep as this is when she gets us all to herself so will play/cuddle until 11pm the she's gonzo'd too. We go to bed late, usually past midnight.

Both sleep in their beds in the dining room until we get up. 6.30 mon-fri. 8-9 on weekends. Only bark if they have an upset tummy. No training involved, just fell into this pattern once they'd gone through the usual puppy stage and could hold their bladder/bowels.
