Making a Will for elderly parents

My parents are late 80’s and want to redo their Will.
We are seeing a solicitor this evening but I wonder whether anyone can give us some suggestions as to what would be good to include.
Their plan is the home will go to me and my sibling.
Some money will go to their 5 grandchildren and the rest to me and my sibling.
We are also going for PA as someone suggested that was a good idea.
House is worth approx £250k and savings about £150k.
Parents are worried they will have to sell the house should they need care.
I want their twilight years to be as stress and worry free as possible.

Many thanks.

Let the solicitor guide them, they will ask all the questions to see what your parents want. And don’t try to sit in the appointment, your parents should be on their own with the solicitor.

I would also suggest life interest wills and becoming tenants in common. The solicitor will know exactly what they mean and should be able to explain it very clearly to them.

Thank you. X

All done.
My parents had a good idea of what they wanted and the solicitor was excellent.
Tenants in common is the route they’re going.
P of A going ahead too. Both parts for both parents.
An expensive but worthwhile meeting.
