Any body language people?

Okay sorry some stuff fairly obvious, eg standing on one leg to another, trying to preen eg putting hands though hair, at one point laying hands on face entirely...

Then touching pockets, hands in and out of pocket.

Then when contact made (previous was before door answered), again lots of tweaking of clothes, moving, says something like "come around" but touches nose in a strange way when says it. Asks after family member but sort of looses breath when asking then cuts straight into more nosey questions.

What?

Naughtynovembertree · 11/11/2021 22:46

I guess your not a body language person.
I was wondering if anyone can interpret someone waiting for door to ring

Well it might have helped to have put that in the OP, no?
gamerchick · 11/11/2021 22:50

You're watching your partner intently?

lnsufficientFuns · 11/11/2021 22:51

You don’t need a body language person - you need a scribe 😂

Faez · 11/11/2021 22:52

Sounds like they’re tweaking

Starcaller · 11/11/2021 22:53

Had they just snorted coke?

Yayaga · 11/11/2021 22:55

Is it a coded cry for help you witnessed?

DartmoorChef · 11/11/2021 22:58

Sounds like they need a poo

frogswimming · 11/11/2021 22:59

Ummmm more context is really necessary for this one!!!

supremelybaffled · 11/11/2021 23:00

That is a display of discomfiture.

DizzySquirrel90 · 11/11/2021 23:01

Snorted some coke 😂

madisonbridges · 11/11/2021 23:02

They just sound very nervous. Maybe they're worried you'll try to analyse them. But you'd never do that, op, would you? 😃

Naughtynovembertree · 11/11/2021 23:06

No it's a relative we havant seen for some time.
Usually extremely cocky and Jack the lad and "giving it large" how great they are.

The 'before contact was made' bit... how did you know that was happening body language wise? Were you watching via CCTV or through a window or something?

GreySweater · 11/11/2021 23:08

Maybe they are after an invite for Xmas dinner and feeling nervous about asking?
Naughtynovembertree · 11/11/2021 23:08

Mary, put what in the op!
I said... Any body language people then described the body language.

Ie fiddling around but then touching face with both hands. Strangely touching nose when saying come around.

Loosing breath and voice sounding tight when asking how someone is..

OP posts:
Naughtynovembertree · 11/11/2021 23:09

Grey it's a ring door bell.

This person would never ever want to lower themselves to Xmas Dinner at our house!! It's all about them and their house!

OP posts:
Karwomannghia · 11/11/2021 23:10

Nervous and self conscious but trying to look casual.

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 11/11/2021 23:12

You make little sense OP

spotcheck · 11/11/2021 23:12

The thing about body language is that it must be observed to be interpreted.

supremelybaffled · 11/11/2021 23:14

It is discomfiture. Like I said once already.

Bookishnerd · 11/11/2021 23:15

@MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry Grin

madisonbridges · 11/11/2021 23:20

You do come across as a tad judgemental. Maybe that's why he's nervous?
Touching your nose is meant to be a sign you're lying. So maybe he doesn't want you to come to his house. Which, all in all, sounds like the right outcome.

CheeseMmmm · 11/11/2021 23:23

What is the situation?

Who are they and what is context?
Why are you watching body language in first place? You're not sure about something- what?

I mean the response is different if it's your mum/ a new lover/ next doors 10yo iyswim.
