Buttery tasting non-dairy butter?

Hi,

I've been told by the GP to avoid all dairy products for my daughter for a couple of weeks to help resolve some stomach problems she's been having. We are doing fine with milk, cheese and yoghurt replacements but she's really hating the butter alternative.

Can anyone please let me know which are the best/most buttery tasting butter alternatives?

Thank you

Naturli is my favourite, hands down. The spreadable one is most similar to lurpak.

Thank you so much @PurpleDaisies

I really rate the Flora Plant butter and it comes in salty/non salty and spreadable versions now.

Naturli is really good - the spreadable one from the tub (not the wrapped block version)

M&S Plant Kitchen one is really good and very good value too

Is it dairy or is it lactose you're avoiding? I am very lactose intolerant and I have recently found Arla lacto-free butter. It is actual butter! I had missed the flavour so much! Their cheese is good too, but it's only available as a cheddar.

Naturli 😋

I just use flora. Tastes fine

Squishedpickle · 11/11/2021 15:29

@BobbinThreadbare123 at this point we've just been told to not have any dairy at all, I'm hopeful that ultimately she will be able to have lacto-free things but until we have figured out exactly what is going on we're staying dairy free.

Thanks for the other suggestions - will see which, if any, we can find locally!

Naturli. The vegan block is lush and it's also mostly Shea and coconut oil rather than rapeseed oil so much better for you too. Waitrose sell it

Breathmiller · 11/11/2021 16:02

I use the Naturli spread for every day use straight from the fridge but I find the block most like butter. I do have to remember to take a little bit out to soften before I spread it though.
