Young teen bra fitting that's not m and s and in general where does teen clothes? 14

I'd really appreciate some ideas of where to go but not m and s please as generally they are not supposed to be good?

I'm also slightly struggling for clothes because 14 seems a limbo cut off zone.
Mango has teen range but other places don't have anything? Aside from h and m

Any ideas?

If you use the Boob or Bust measuring method to get the right size there is no reason not to buy bras from M & S. Just don't use them for measuring. And quite TBH, at 14 I doubt very much your DD would want a strange woman measuring her anyway.

M and S do a good teen range of bras.

Notagoodmonth · 08/11/2021 23:01

Ok and are m and s range actually called teen bras??

I think the m&s teen bras are called angel bras but at 14 she might have grown out of them. My DD wears victoria secret bras which are comfortable and with no underwire.

For clothes:-
New Look
H&M
Primark
Urban Outfitters
Missguided
Asos

It depends. DD was and still is very slightly built and wore them at 14.

I was surprised how few bras M&S stock in a 30 back. They don’t even seem to start at a 28 which many slim teens would be in most modern measurements. A few in the Angel teen range maybe.

Victoria's Secret are pricey for firts bras, especially if they will get too small after a few wears.

Notagoodmonth · 08/11/2021 23:07

Is Victoria secret OK for a young teen?

My 14 year old gets her jeans from Primark/H&M, leggings from O'Neills, woolly jumpers/sweatshirts from H&M, tops, tshirts from Pull & Bear, Primark, Superdry, H&M. I know you said apart from H&M but between there and Primark that's where most of my 3 daughters clothes come from.
She gets her bras from M&S,(Angel) we ordered different sizes online and found the ones that suited her best.

onepieceoflollipop · 08/11/2021 23:13

M&S definitely do some teen angel bras in 28 and 30 back
We buy the soft ones - £12 for 2

We find New Look good for most clothes - either the 9-15 range or the women’s section.
Next sell up to age 12 in the shops but you can order some items up to age 16 online
Good for basics such as leggings.
Our H&M is usually variable and not much good but different stores vary I think
M&S sometimes good for basics. John Lewis kids go up to 14 - worth a look?

You could look in Hollister as well.

Both DD (15 & 11) favour the M&S Angel sports bras - white (which a lot of places don't do, which is odd & annoying time they are mainly worn under school white shirts). Go down 28". We went to a large branch & grabbed a load & worked out the size between - no double-boob for cup size & it should not move up across the back when you raise your arms.

Clothes come from M&S, H&M, Primark (size 4 or 6), Gap, Lands End and Next. I miss Jonny B from Boden & buy a fair bit on Ebay. There is lack of nice (non-sexualised) clothing from 14+ - it makes me quite cross really.

Mine ( older than teens now) liked Bouc Avenue when that age.
