Worried Mom.....loss of skills

My child is 15 months, they seem to have lost some skills that they did have.
They no longer wave. Do high five, say the cats name or Dadda, they have never clapped.
They also don't respond to their name.
Oh and he also love spinning things....all these things I have seen can be signs of Autism.
Has anyone else found this with their child?
The health visitor isn't the best at getting back to me, so not sure what to do?

We had this. See if your HV service are doing 18m reviews and if not, request one and express tour concerns.

Does he go to nursery? They may also be able to help. Ours didn an early help assessment and also provided evidence for our referrals.

We had an 18m review in the middle of lockdown due to my concerns. He was sent for a hearing test and then at his 2 year review they made the necessary referrals (can't be done until at least 2 here). He was referred to speech and language and his development scores warranted a referral to paediatrics. He was officially diagnosed as autistic at 2 and a half which came as no surprise to anyone.

He's now 3 (just) and his communication and development are progressing every single day. He is the happiest little boy ever, is so gentle and affectionate and is loved by everyone!

No, he doesn't go to Nursery.
I am going to try and ring the Health visitor again this week and see what they say.
Do they do some kind of assessment?
When we had our last health visitor check they didn't do anything. Just asked me a couple or questions. Which I felt he was too young to say yes or no to some then

There are 18 month and 2 year (and older) ages and stages questionnaires, you should be able to find them online too

I had this with DD2 at a similar age. At one of her HV checks the midwife was astounded that she drew a recognisable person. She still wasn't walking and then lost the words she had when she started walking. She did have a speech delay and is dyslexic (councidence).

I was worried, HV didn't dismiss me and we went to the paediatric Dr who found no issues.

She's 16 now and doing four A levels

My point being that it doesn't always mean an issue, I wonder if certain development things get put to one side whilst the body focuses on others

Thank you for the replies.
This is what I am wondering.
He is babbling loads and making new sounds all the time.
He is sociable and is very cheeky.
He just doesn't respond at all to his name...but other things I can say like what's this and he will turn or toys he likes and he will go get then when I say the name
