...what are you having for dinner tonight?

I am following the above as on an elimination eating plan. Had about as much chicken and rice as I can take this week Smile so would love some other suggestions please!

Baked potatoes and tuna. Another IBS Fodmap free person (no gluten, lactose,
onion, garlic, various veg and fruits) and what I can eat is v v boringly limited.

Old el paso one pan rice meal.
Cottage pie ( mash made with the flora butter block)
Stir fry
White rabbit pizza is delightful www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/vegan-food/the-white-rabbit-co-gluten-free-smokin-vegan-cheese--pepper---olive-pizza-410g
The ugo pumpkin ravioli is also vegan from sainsburys
Sunday dinner with bisto gravy but without yorkie
Fajitas with guacamole rather than sour cream or cheese
Steak and chips
Fish cakes
In terms of diary free gluten free alternatives of the cheeses the only tolerable one I found was the apple wood smoked. For milk I drink rude health gluten free oat milk. Warbutons gluten free tiger loaf is nice. For butter I use olive spread ( check these as some have dairy)
There two tough ones to exclude. Good luck

DH & DS are gluten free and we're having a chicken, leek and bacon pie topped with mashed potato. You could make it dairy free by using vegan spread in the mash but if you're fed up of chicken it doesn't really help.

Other meals this week have been...

Veggie chilli & Leon waffle fries (vegan/GF and available from Sainsburys)
Dhal & rice
Fajitas

I know what you mean about checking M&S labels. I was hoping to find some Indian snacks to go with our dhal but all the bhajis had wheat in them sad]

How about stir fly & rice noodles?

Generally anything prepackaged will be difficult. I'm GF and have also been DF during this time as had secondary lactose intolerance while recovering from repeated coeliac glutening.
It's a bit of a mindset shift but putting more time and energy towards meal prep and buying quality ingredients is your friend here. It's hard enough finding packaged foods without gluten in, I can't imagine adding DF into the mix. Lots of the processed stuff for a vegan market seems to contain gluten (at least from what I've found) so sticking to meat, fish, permitted grains, veg and fruit , seeds, nuts is the best plan really.

Can I suggest the Deliciously Ella app or recipe books. She is vegan and gluten free (though gives options for those who aren't gluten free). Obviously you don't need to be vegan to eat them and you could use the sauce/base recipes and whatever and add meat if you wished. She creates some really very tasty meals! Great "macaroni cheese" style sauces which you can use with lentil pasta or just GF pasta. Great stews, curries, breakfasts, cakes and desserts, etc. too.

DH is GF. Tonight we're having chilli with tortilla chips. Last night we had baked salmon with vegetable rice. The night before we had nice ham, fried egg, (Aunt Bessies) chips and baked beans. We often have curry using turkey or chicken breast, a Pataks curry sauce, with chickpeas and veg such as pepper, onion, baby corn, spinach added. On especially lazy nights we have a pie with vegetables. DH has the Pie Minister Gluten Free Moo version.

A favourite midweek meal is soup made with pancetta cubes fried with diced onion/carrot/celery, lentilles vertes (or puy lentils), and Marigold veg stock. Add a large handful of curly kale five mins before serving. We have it with GF cheese scones, which maybe you can make with a dairy free equivalent?

DH was over the moon to find some GF spring rolls in M&S recently. We both had them and I honestly couldn't tell they were GF.

I have made the Pinch of Nom sweet potato bhajis a few times and they are surprisingly nice.

Good ideas thanks

Try Thai or Indian recipes for inspiration.
Katsu curry, rice, frozen edamame, and a protein or veg. Green or red Thai curry. Pad Thai. Egg fried rice with peas. Japanese rice bowl. Vegetable chilli. Chilli on jacket potatoes. Fresh tuna, advocado, peppers, pineapple, coriander, chilli's and cold vermicelli rice noodles mixed with a wasabi dressing. One pot stew type dishes with mash. Gluten free pies.

Loved all these ideas, thank you. So far this week we've had:

Roast chicken with veg and gf gravy
Chilli and rice
Tacos with the left over chilli
Salmon and veg with rice noodles (wasn't keen on these)
