Can I have a boast? I’m two inches away from doing up a pair of size 16 jeans

JEANS, I tell you, in a size 16.

Old ones from a charity shop, and they have been through my tumble drier. Up over my legs, thighs and bum with ease - just a couple of inches shy of doing up.

In July, I was in a size 20.

I’m still living in my leggings, but my cardigans look bloody ridiculous so I thought I’d grab a pair of jeans from the £1 pile when I was last in town just to see, largest was a 16, so I thought sod it, every will fit one day.

Did not expect them to go futher than my ankles!

Lonf story short, I had a shit few years and I gained 9 stone in 4 years. I got diagnosed with celiac disease earlier this year and my body is now working properly and it’s all just clicked. Plus, gluten free “treats” and bread taste like utter crap. So that helps.

I’m cooking everything from scratch and enjoying it.

I’ve lot around 3 stone.

I don’t know anyone to boast to. So please be kind Grin

This is huge for me after years of struggle.

A whisker away from 3 dress sizes in a a couple of months is amazing progress. Well done.

My friend had a late diagnosis of celiac a few years ago. She didn’t lose weight, but gained as she was underweight. She was like a new woman after a couple of months.

Thank you all!

I didn’t have classic celaic symptoms, I was tested as I was undergoing investigations for other bowel conditions (thank fully all fine, but strong family history of bowel cancer in 30s and 40s), consultant just said he had a hunch and tested me.

So glad he did because obviously, gluten was making me feel low level shit and causing some bowel issues. And my body clearly wasn’t working the way it should with what I was eating previously.

I feel great now.
