Dark chocolate versions of sweets that were better

I used to like but can no longer find dark chocolate versions of:

Walnut whip
Mars
ToffeeCrisp
Twix
Frys 5 centres
Chocolate raisins

I can occasionally get Tunnocks teacakes

Can anyone find them nowadays? Do you have suggestions for alternatives?

DH and DS are dark chocolate fans in this house. Pretty sure I've bought dark chocolate Toblerone at Christmas if not available at other times.

Not sweets but dark chocolate digestives are better than milk

Finzi · 30/10/2021 17:57

Thornton’s dark choc hard caramels 😋. Do they still do them? Not been in Thornton’s for ages.

I bought some dark chocolate Tunnock’s caramel wafers this week….not tried them yet though. Hope they’re good!

They always have dark chocolate bounty’s in my local corner shop, they’re my favourite, In fact, I think I might go and buy one now!
Milkway midnight are amazing! I would say they’re a cross between milkway and Mars bar. They have a milky way type nougat and then a layer of caramel coated in dark chocolate. Expensive though.
I also really love reisins! Those squares of chocolate caramel covered in dark chocolate.

Oh and Terry’s All Gold box of chocolates
Rarely see them at all - occasionally see a milk version
My auntie loves them and I used to send her a box (she’s not in UK)

RandomMess · 30/10/2021 18:48

Terry's All Gold.

I have been give these fairly often. Sadly another dark choice ruined by palm oil and now very much sweeter than they used to be Sad

Sainsbury’s cheapo dark chocolate Lovetts is palm oil free so much nicer!

Tesco do fab dark chocolate- 74% (classic) and 86% ( extra dark I think). They also do a raspberry/Orange/mint and salted caramel - all dark chocolate versions. £1 per bar. Bargain.
I go to Tesco specially for their chocolate and Tarte au Citron. Last time I bought £30 of dark chocolate for stock!
I loved the dark choc mint and orange club biscuits.
Sainsbury's Lovetts is on Aldi price match at the moment.

Fry's peppermint creams are amazing too.

You can get raspberry and orange ones in B&M.
