Things that make life easier

It's been hard to keep on top of laundry since having a baby as we don't have a dryer and it takes about 2/3 days for it to all dry on the airer now that it's cold. So this morning I decided that it was all getting done today somehow (one load of laundry in the washing machine, a full basket of mine and my boyfriends clothes, towels and bedding and a full basket of babies stuff) so I did 3 washes and we took them to a laundrette and had it all dry in half an hour for only £2!!

I am thinking that I'll just do this every time the washing piles up in winter as with one load taking 2/3 days to dry on the airer the baskets end up being full again before I can actually get another wash done.

It would help if everything could be put in the dryer though as there's about half a load of laundry left that's waiting to go in as it says not to tumble dry 🤷‍♀️

What things do you do/have discovered that make your life easier?

I know it isn't feasible for most people but I have my washer and heat recycling tumble dryer in my bathroom, next to attached walk in wardrobe.

Game changer. 99% of what is washed is clothes (and bedding). Wash, dry and hang up. Only had it 2 years now and I love it

@Mrscutesmummy Google 'Eufy'. Then click 'buy'.

You'll thank me Wink

Frozen chopped onions, supermarket deliveries, lowering standards.
A load of washing each day, over night to finish at 6am, then slinging it on the line before work from April to end of October.

I'd love a Eufy but I think we're too untidy for it!

Seriously just buy a plug in heated airer- bed sheet over all washing will dry over night

TheWayTheLightFalls · 29/10/2021 20:34

OP you need a Lakeland airer imo.

Online shopping.
Cook/Gousto.
Eating repetitively, and with the same simple breakfast (porridge) most days.
Bulk buying clothing basics - my 4yo must have a dozen or more navy and black leggings from George, for example. There’s never a scramble for them.

My sister at the weekend; there's stuff everywhere on radiators because it says don't tumble dry

Me: ignore that shit

TSSDNCOP · 29/10/2021 20:38

Also, clean the shower while you're in it and swoosh the sink and loo while you're drying off

Dyson hair dryer, it’s halved the time to dry my long hair.
