Never ever owned or used one.

Ds wants one for school to take hot choc in the am for when arrives to school. So needs to be fairly small

DH is now going to be out and about more with work so thinking a nice big thermos to make tea with would be beneficial.

What are good ones. No leaks keeps a good temp?

Stanley ones here too! Worth every penny. Never leak and keep everything so hot.

Another vote for the Stanley, but also I keep it in an insulated lunch bag.

Team Thermos here. Piping hot food/drink for 12 hours guaranteed. I use it to send food for nursery, pack myself hot food and husband takes a huge flask of tea to drink throughout the day. Highly recommended.

I would go for a Contigo for DS and Stanley for DH. Contigo is smaller, totally leakproof including while actually drinking from it, will keep a hot chocolate warm for a couple of hours (probably longer if it's the powder you make with boiling water rather than hot milk), and if you get the plain stainless steel version will go into the dishwasher. Stanley will keep tea hot for several hours (much longer than a Contigo), is totally leakproof, and has much larger capacity.
