Hello! We are on holiday near Worcester and want to take our 4 and 6 year old somewhere fun, where would you recommend? Looking for wet weather options too.

Little Acorns for softplay. Top Barn for animals and pumpkins. Church fields for ice cream and play area. Worcester racecourse if you want to go for a scooter/bike ride around. Hanbury Hall for a nice National trust. Auntie Em's Tea Room for lunch as it has an indoor play place.

Cheeky monkeys also good but imagination street best soft play. The hive library is a good hour and a bit.

Cathedral is a good shout as well actually.

Yes to the cathedral. Quite a lot of Halloween stuff on there this week. You could also try:

Worcester Woods and country park
The Commandery
Cafe Afloat and a walk round the marina and up the side of the River Severn
If you’re in the National Trust, Greyfriars but Croome is better.
Vue or Odeon cinemas

Further afield:
Ironbridge, especially Enginuity and the Tile Museum.
Black Country Living Museum (we prefer Blists Hill at Ironbridge)
Malvern for walking/Morgan Motor co factory tour/shops and cafes - easy on the train
Train to Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham

Oh wow so much to choose from! Thanks all so much.
Out of interest, is imagination street just your standard soft play or is it like a role play street with different shops they can play in… we went to somewhere like that once when on holiday (think it was called little street) and they absolutely loved it but we’ve never found anywhere like it since.

vue and odeon both do kids mornings for cheap tickets.

CMOTDibbler · 26/10/2021 16:32

If you get the train into Birmingham from Worcestershire Parkway, then Think Tank has the role playing shops format. My ds absolutely loved it at that age and the rest of the science museum is great.
On a wet day, the West Midlands Safari Park is a good bet as you get to see them all even in the rain. The Severn Valley railway is nice, or go over to Broadway and do the steam train to Cheltenham

Tianatiers · 26/10/2021 16:41

Think Tank looks amazing! Unfortunately it’s fully booked on the day we’d want to go, I should have been more organised.

Witley Court and the amazing church, if it's fine.

SpringCrocus · 26/10/2021 17:13

Avoncroft museum of history.

Severn Valley Railway Museum is small but my children always loved it. I think it’s still free. There is also the Museum of Carpet in Kidderminster. Both all indoors.

If you then go on the SVR, Bridgnorth (end of the line) is nice and also has a cliff railway.

Highley Engine shed and cafe is about halfway along.
