How sad. When I was younger 59 seemed so old but now I just think it’s far too young to be gone.

Hope his family are managing and finding some peace today.

I rewatched all of Friends earlier this year and loved Gunther's sharp one liners and comedy moments. My favourite was him telling Phoebe's boyfriend to "put the mouse back in the house". If you know, you know

He seemed a genuinely, utterly lovely man. And was so funny in friends! It's not just the writing it's the delivery too.

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba I'm shocked I missed the news about Willie Garson (who of course also appeared in friends) LOVED him especially in white collar which I'm always recommending!

Oh I hadn't heard about Willie Garson! He was in sooo many things. His death wasn't publicised at all.

it was all over in social media though, lots of Twitter messages from his friends inc Matt Bomer & Tim DeKay.

I loved him as Mozzie.

I had heard he was ill a little while ago, such sad news. 59 is no age

I had a whatsapp message this morning. I read earlier this year that he had prostate cancer as that is why he was only one of the friends cast that could do a zoom bit rather than be on stage with everybody else. the treatment had paralyzed him from the waist down. He had been fighting it for about 3yrs missed an appointment last yr due to covid then then found out that it had spread

Not gonna be able to watch friends without thinking about him now as its always on in the background when the 2 DS' are in bed or playing in the toy room
