Mould on bedroom wall

My childrens room gets extremely cold during the winter and even when the heating is on and every room is roasting hot their room is still cold.

Last night i had a guest staying and so i got the zbed from the kids bedroom and when i set it up it was wet at coverd in mould!.

So in the morning i pulled back the kids beds and the wall had mould on it.

Im not sure what to do as im a private renter... Ideally i would move but i cant get a deposit for a new property..

The blue stuff was a big ball of playdoh and surprisingly it wasnt dried out.... Shows how wet and cold it is

Is it an outside wall? Have a look out and see if it’s a gutter problem or loose slate that the LL needs to sort. Wipe with bleach for now to get rid of it.
Keep stuff pulled a little way out from the wall to let the air circulate.

It’s a ventilation and heating issue. So basically you need to heat the room more (portable heater if necessary) and a dehumidifier and open the windows during the day every day for a few hours to let the condensation out. And move everything away from the walls to let the air round everything.

HP mould spray is good.

A dehumidifier is a massive help in our battle against mould as is opening the windows regularly.

I'm only guessing here, but because of this do you tend to keep the windows closed to try and keep heat in? If so that will make the problem worse. I'd recommend a dehumidifier and opening the windows to help airflow and ventilate the room.

That’s condensation so need to keep any further a few inches off the wall, air well, put a dehumidifier in, don’t leave wet towels around etc

Circulation and ventilation. So windows open windows and buy a portable heater. Also dehumidifier will help.

HG spray is marvellous.

It gets worse

Its an outside wall, i was going to sell these wadrobes, dont think i can now

I keep the windows open, last place we had a dehumidifier amd it cost a fortune on electricity.

Looks at an online repot on the property, the property is lacking in insulation.
