Looking for ideas to get my inner peace back.

An angry fast paced walk where I give myself permission to think of all the things that are wrong and feel sorry for myself. As I begin to slow down my pace, my thoughts slow down and become more rational and I can see the wood from the trees, and slow down a bit more as I approach home to have a cup of tea and maybe a nap now I've worked out my frustrations and made my peace with myself/the situation/life in general

Fresh air nice walks in a green open spaces.

Having a good clear out and tidying the house helps.

Having a good natter and good laugh with easy old friends.

Exfoliating and lots and lots of moisturiser.

Getting my hair done by the hairdresser.

Eating well - cooking from scratch.

Not taking on too much saying ‘no’ more often
upfront and having regular sneaky/cheeky days off now the kids are teens either on my own or with DH.

Find a really good yoga teacher who sorts out the breath. I come away from yoga feeling restored now. Before it just felt like nice exercise.

Walk on the beach - being near the sea always makes me feel better.

Self care for me, a proper long shower or bath, not rushed. Hair washed and get some nice bath or shower gel and a scrub. Moisturise all over and get some loose clothing on to relax. Make a coffee or tea and sit and read or do something you enjoy for an hour. I always do this after I've cleaned the house so I don't feel I need to do anything chore wise. Light candles or tea lights under melts and enjoy the peace. Put some relaxing music on or some dance on and have a jig about the house. I always open my windows too. I sometimes put fabric softener on the radiators with cotton wool and put the heating on. Take care of yourself OP life is bloody hard. I'm going to read the rest of the PP to get some ideas for myself too xxxx ThanksThanks

We live 15-20 minutes from a few beaches and it's always such a chill out zone for me. We even got married on our favourite beach xx

Definitely a walk. Plus points of trees and water involved but even a schlep around the block is better than nothing.

Bath and book

Music

Chopping vegetables and making something that cooks long and slow on a Sunday - veggie lasagne, a casserole etc

Going out for a coffee and a change of scene

Comfort reads or comfort TV

Colouring or drawing or sewing

Having a good old wardrobe clear out
