Any other adults here with ADHD and Chronic Pain?

If there are.. i'm just wondering how you cope when your ADHD decides to put you through a hyper/can't sit still phase when you're in the middle of a chronic pain flair and can't have a zoomy?

I end up sitting here basically stimming.. legs bouncing, feet tapping, hands flapping, ants in my pants.. just feeling like i can't RELAX, because my CP condition means i don't have the spoons to go burn it off moving around physically by walking/housework...etc.

My body physically feels like i want to do that mad 'shake it out' thing that the PE teachers used to tell us to do to warm up Grin but i know its not a good idea because of my shitty joints.

It drives me nuts.

I have inattentive type ADHD and am autistic, and have had various pain issues over the years. I definitely know what you mean, it's so frustrating! At the moment I'm struggling with muscle spasms and a lot of pain from that and I really want to stim to cope with the pain but it just creates more...

thank you for answering.

its definitely a no-spoons day here today. I hope you feel better though.

I've been and dug out my autistic sons fidget spinner today, but its not helping any >.< might have to go for a drive or something, see if that helps.

No spoons here too today. Going for a drive would get you out the house for a change of scene at least that might help. I have a collection of fidgets/ stim toys and they do help a bit but not entirely

Yes I have ADHD and joint dysfunction in my knees. It's a PITA, especially when I want to dance about and I have to be careful or my knee will give way and can be quite painful. I miss dancing and jumping about, which I unfortunately can't really do anymore
