Is 4-6pm ok for a kids party?!

Looking at hiring a local venue/ hall for a kids party- 6 year old. Bouncy castle, party tea, pass the parcel- job done.

The only time they have for the weekend I'm after is 3.30-6.30 on the Saturday. Would a 4-6 party be ok for you with kids of that age?

@Pea22ches

I still think 03.30 is late. You would be better will early sat morning people will be more likely to come too.
Saturday mornings are often filled with activities especially if you have families with two working parents. We did skip activities for a really good friend but in Infant school we had parties nearly twice a months on weekends, that would have meant lots of missed practice and hence a pointless expensive activity.

I find a middle of the day party difficult as it takes over the whole day, it is a rush home from activity, squeezing in shopping, no time for homework and housework. At least if it was a party I couldn’t drop Dd and run.

It’s a good time. I doubt there will be many people who need to start bedtime routine before 6.15pm!

No AN, as far as I know (she’s 12 now). But summer born, and needed (still needs) more sleep than the average child her age. And when tired is tearful / unhappy / whiny rather than just sleepy or hyper.
