Freezer meals ideas for post-op parent

Stubborn/fiercely independent* parent is imminently heading for a large-ish operation which will require 5 days or so in hospital, plus 6 weeks at least recuperation at home afterwards. Unlikely to need any sort of additional measures as she has no other physical needs. She is relatively local but I'm on my own with 2 kids and juggling full time work with my own (hopefully temporary) health condition which means I can't move in with her. My sibling lives 2 hours away with her own family and job etc.

*tongue in cheek, I have the same stubborn streak...

Physical and emotional needs aside, last time she had such major surgery she lost 5st due to not eating/being too proud/stubborn to ask for help. I'd like to fill her freezer with home-made meals so she can at least have something other than stale bread toast twice a day.

She is old-school, none of your fancy food (curries, chick-peas, anything with peppers etc), I've got as far as stew and dumplings and lasagne in takeaway containers, please can I ask the hive mind for suggestions? Something tempting but zero fuss to reheat, I don't mind putting in the kitchen time to prep.

(maybe for quick non-freezer stuff too, like microwave sponge pud and small custard cartons)

Fingers crossed your brains are working better than my foggy brain at the moment, thanks!

Chicken pie filling topped with dumplings or cobbler so it doesn't go soggy like a pie crust would in the microwave.
Sausages, onion gravy, mash.
Does she like Lasagna? Bolognese with ping pasta packets?
Fish in sauce, packets of steam fresh vegetables, filling soups.

Mince and dumplings

For a filling pudding, make and then freeze individual portions of apple crumble. Can vary what you pair with it - cream, ice cream, custard or even Greek yoghurt.

If you wanted it to be more versatile then do portions of stewed apples or other fruits and then separate freezer bags with pre prepared crumble topping. When she fancies a crumble she can just top one of the fruit portions with the crumble topping and whack in the oven. Or if she just wants stewed fruit she can just reheat that.

Not sure how she feels about rice (my MIL would declare it fancy and foreign) but you can get individual microwave rice packets and the own brand versions are much cheaper than Tilda, uncle Ben’s etc. She could do those with freezer portions of beef stroganoff or beef stew if she’s not a fan of curry and chilli etc
