I haven't seen any threads on this. Read about this on a local news site this morning. First thoughts are finally, something aimed at men!

I've read about apps for women if they feel in danger, telephone lines for someone to chat to when walking home, flagging down buses, changing of routes, the usual what we should wear, not wear etc. All of which I think is of little help if some entitled male psycho is determined to murder you and again, onus always seems to be on women to keep themselves safe. And also missing the point that Sarah Everard probably initially didn't feel in danger as he was a serving officer.

More needs to be done but at least it's something? Sorry I don't know how to link but will come up with a Google search.

Brilliantly done. Also made me tear up as the recipient of a LOT of the actions described - not the cat calling etc, but the alcohol, bundled home in a taxi etc. Seemed so normal 20yrs ago.

Thanks for starting this thread OP, the campaign is very good and long overdue. Let's hope the rest of the UK run it or a similar one too.

It's good, but I felt 'guilt tripped', 'pressured her' 'pushed her into it' are phrases used by the victim of the behaviour not the abuser. Men won't see their behaviour that way.

I think 'persuaded her to give in', or 'got her to give in', 'made her give me a quickie', 'got her to...' etc would be more likely their perspective.

Effective .I’d like to see a similar campaign for domestic violence. Outlining the small ways in which it begins, long before it escalates to physical abuse.
So breaking things, throwing things, insults and name calling etc etc etc.

Looks like a good campaign. Also wish there was something across the U.K.

Liked the former police officer speaking about male entitlement and violence and making the link with violent porn.

It’s not always women who are the victims in fact it’s mostly men who are victims of violent crime (not including sexual violence) but it’s nearly always men who commit the crime.
