Not interested in any sports, he's quite geeky to be honest. Loves maps loves fixing things he's super clever. Any ideas what we could look for?

Age 4-5 he does need to do some activities which will help him develop physical strength and coordination. Doesn’t need to be through sport per se, take him to the playground or on bike rides. Or if you want a club then ballet or modern dance, gymnastics, swimming, parkrun, kids yoga.

Non physical ideas - arts & crafts, drama, music, languages, coding.

What about tae kwondo? Neither of my DCs are traditionally "sporty" and err towards geeky but both took to that and it is great for coordination, fitness and concentration and (at our club at least) isn't a contact sport until they are older. They both loved the discipline of learning the moves and patterns.

Music, drama, horse riding.

Horse riding, skiing (dry slopes and snow domes have kids ski-clubs). Great for developing core strength, balance and self confidence.

Both my two were seriously non sporty. They kept fit when young by cycling, swimming, climbing hills, trampolining. Their interests were mainly music, Scouts and Warhammer.

One of them now does a sport at national level but not a team sport. The other is involved in lots of debating and music groups. There's a lot out there for geekier DC.
