Thetford as an area for young kids

Hello all, we are filming a property show for Channel 4 and have a young family with 3 young kids. 7, 5 and 2.
The buyers love the house but wanted to know a little bit about the area...is it good for young kids, types of things they could do with their kids, clubs etc. Any info would be amazing

We live in a village a little way from Thetford. Thetford itself is rough as a badger’s arse, but Thetford Forest is nice, and you can get to the seaside fairly easily. And the leisure centre is ok, if a little grubby round the edges. Thetford Parkrun is very friendly too. But Thetford itself…. Nah.
