Anyone medical help me understand my toddlers blood test results?

Hi,

If there is anyone medical I’d really appreciate your expertise.

Daughter is 2 but was 22 months when the fbc was done. She’s fallen off her height growth curve slightly so her paed ordered a fbc for some answers.

The paed said she needed iron as she was ‘slightly’ low 106 ( normal is 113-141) her GP however said that’s not low, but it seems quite low to me (I’m non medical so I’ve got no clue how low is low and what is slightly low or severe etc)
Nothing else was mentioned by paed or GP.

We’ve had the paper copy through the mail now and we’ve seen her blood phosphate level is elevated too 1.61 (0.8- 1.5 being the normal range). I have no idea what blood phosphate means, should we be worried? Is it indicative of anything? Is she having too much of something in her diet we can scale back on?
Her creatinine was 37 (normal 18-46) so the higher end of normal? Again anything to worry about or not (My dad passed away due to kidney issues so im probably overly concerned about anything kidney related)

Could anyone shed some light?

Thanks for reading and any comments in advance 🥰

Although those numbers are outside the "normal" ranges they don't sound like anything to worry about. They aren't outside by very much. They sound like normal blood results.

Ah ok, you see a little red arrow on the paper copy so you think uh oh lol.

She’s on iron now (giving her lovely forest green poop 😂).

Do you know what the blood phosphate means? Do we need to do some diet tweaking? Xx

I can't help specifically but have a couple of bits of advice!
My DS had different results from two blood tests in the same week so don't panic too much.
Be careful with the iron as some people find it tough to take. Are you giving tablets or doing it through food? The tablets really hurt my stomach and I can't take them. Keep an eye on that.
Also I was giving my DS vitamins but he was also eating healthily and can't remember which one but that was a reason one of his things was high. We stopped the vitamins and just kept the healthy eating.

@whatnumber she has a solution syrup thing. We give her meat as part of her daily diet but guess she’s a bit fussy with it wondered if maybe she had too much dairy and that was impacting things.

We give her a multi vit to cover all bases from a growth point of view xx

Blood phosphates I think refer to bones etc. it's barely above the normal range though and if her other levels are ok then it's not anything to worry about.
