Silly question about freezing food

I’m so annoyed at myself for still not knowing the rules!
What exactly are the rules on freezing food?
If I’ve bought fresh meat and frozen it and I then defrost it and cook a meal, can I then re-freeze that meal to eat at a later date?
I’m almost certain that this is ok but I just need to know for certain from others that know if this is ok.
I’ve only ever cooked from fresh to freeze for a later date but I have lots of meat and fish in my freezer I’d like to do some bulk cooking with and don’t want to waste it.

Yes you can. Once it's cooked, you can freeze it.

You can freeze things once in each stage that they are kept.

Raw - one time
Then cook
Cooked - one time

Yes that is right. Raw meat can be defrosted, cooked, frozen and then reheated again, but only once

Just FYI the Good Housekeeping cookbook has a section on freezing food (and other rules).
