Why am I eligible for a booster?

Does anyone know if you can find out why you've been marked as a priority for a booster?

Just received a text saying "As you are at increased risk of complications from COVID-19, you are a priority to receive your COVID-19 booster vaccine etc ...".

My health has been shit over the past few months, but I haven't been diagnosed with anything on the list of conditions that I am aware of? Unless a fatty liver, adenomyosis or an ear condition count. Guess I'm just a little paranoid!

Don't get me wrong - I'm very grateful - would just like to know why I'm eligible.

You only get booster a mim of 6 months after last jab. So you must had jab pretty earlier back in March on age or chronic condition?

Oh I did have a whacking great pulmonary embolism in 2018 I guess.

Even being over 50 would count for booster

I was actually working for a hospice at the time the vaccinations were first available so got them done as a priority healthcare worker (January and April).

Ironically I am a currently working as a bank vaccinator, but I know for a fact that we can't tell why people are priorities via the systems we have access to, so asking at the vaccine hub when I get it done won't help.

Well you were a priority because of your job they don't update records if you leave your job so maybe still be eligible for booster, my sister got hers in February due to work now is getting her booster.

I thought that maybe - but the wording "more at risk for serious complications" threw me off.

I did just explain that the systems we use in the vaccination centres do not give you access to the information that I'm looking for. We have absolutely nothing to do with screening for eligibility - unless there's a walk in who doesn't fit the standard criteria - but I've never had a patient that didn't.

The NHS, even the part of it specifically dealing with Covid, is a beast when it comes to systems/records/administration.
