Was watching a music countdown the other day and one of the songs from dirty dancing came on, I casually mentioned to my mum how I like the song but dislike the movie.... my mum almost lost her shit....
Like it was a criminal offence to not like it.

Italian restaurants serving a heap of very cheap carbs (aka pasta) with a bit of oil and a few bits of meat or fish hiding in in somewhere.

Men of a certain age telling long story type jokes in the middle of a conversation/meeting. Just want to shout " Oh for God's sake we worked out the punchline ten minutes ago and it isn't funny" Just stop.

Always think they are hosted by dull people to “inject fun” because they are not confident that people can have a laugh already.

I just want to go out for a giggle and dance with my mates, feeling comfortable and dressed up - rather than wearing some hideous uncomfortable ensemble.

I groan when I get an invite to one of these fun sponge events.

Dancing. As in hearing a song at a party or club, going onto a floor and moving about. It just looks (when other people do it) and feels (when I do it) stupid and embarrassing.

Sex. Unhygienic, undignified, making yourself vulnerable and never as pleasurable as desire promises it will be.

Being young. When you’re old no-one asks you to do either of the above.

I can't understand the popularity of James Bond, really?

Then there's Harry Potter, Bridget Jones, Game of Thrones, Star Wars/Trek, Jurassic Park, Friends, Sex and the City. That's probably it but no guarantees.

I've just remembered Strictly Come Dancing.

The secretary in my last job - charming and jolly most of the time, and everyone seemed to love her, but I saw a very dark and unpleasant side to her behaviour.

Ugly beach, choked with traffic, dirty streets with self satisfied, self consciously “alternative” residents.

Creamy pasta, cream in sauces, creamy soups, cream cakes ...all yurgh imho ... can't bear anything that leaves an oily or greasy feeling in the mouth!

Absolutely love anything sharp or lemony or with vinegar though.

Sound of music

Fried eggs with bright orange yolks, i.e. with a layer of slimy uncooked white on top. 🤮

Pineapple

Avocados. just dont taste of anything, horrible oily texture
Salted caramel. Get away with you putting salt in my chocolate you spawn of the devil.
Pineapple on pizzas. love pineapple by itself but not on savoury items.
Jasmine. I can smell it a mile off and it just smells horrible and acrid.
