@Fizzgigg

Funnily enough they emailed me today to say I'm low on credit and to 'top up' my account so I don't overspend in winter. Definitely looking for cash injection (obviously I won't be)
I had that too. I wasn’t doing it!

Does anyone else have a bulb smart meter? If so, has your daily spend gone up significantly this week? Mine is so much higher than normal but no change in usage (if anything it’s less because I’ve been in the office), so I assume rates have gone up?

If you are lots in credit you can request a refund but as we are going into winter it's not advisable

The bulb website have an automatic way to get a refund. I was approx £250 in credit, but when I clicked for a refund, it said the max was about £180. I assume they want to keep some credit for winter? I only did this 3 days ago and its still not credited though.

No need to use the live chat or wait on hold for hours though!

I’m with Bulb and have been for over 2years now.
I’m currently £150 in credit and I give monthly readings … Today they have emailed to say they are putting my monthly direct debit up from £100 to £168!
Went onto my account to change it and it won’t let me!
I have always been able to reduce or increase my monthly payment before but now it doesn’t let me.
Did look into switching a few weeks back but comparison site results were more expensive, bit annoyed the site/app won’t let me adjust the new monthly payment so guess I’ll be phoning them tomorrow.
We are classed as “high” users as a family I think? Around 4000kwh of electricity per year and around 18000kwh of Gas per year 🤷🏼‍♀️
