So it’s dawned on me recently a habit that my daughter has. And now I’ve noticed it… I’m noticing it ALL the time. I can only describe it as she literally always has the need to constantly suck back her spit. She doesn’t dribble but it’s like an excess in her mouth she sucks back and swallow , particularly when she speaks. Should I be concerned?

How old is she? My son used to do this until he was about 6.

I meant to add she’s 6 and a half

Did she have trouble feeding as a baby, it can be a sign of tongue tie as it makes it harder to swallow saliva properly leading to an excess so if she wasn't checked it would be worth doing.

It took a while to establish feeding but she was premature and teeny so it took a while to find bottles with small enough tears. But after that she was fine. Her speech has always been find and she was never a particularly dribble baby/toddler x
