Just done mine and came out as INTP.

I read a blog post afterwards that described what it might look like as a lived experience and it was spot on!

Can't help but think it's a bit like reading your horoscope. What do others think?

Am I the only one who has noticed that most the people who have responded to this thread are IN..?

I'm ENTP - I've done it several times over the years through work and it's always come out the same - and it's scarily accurate. And I agree with what others have said - it's accurate because you're telling it what you think (unlike a horoscope).

Wow, great to connect with someone who shares the same personality type as mine (INTP)! That's so fascinating to learn about the traits and characteristics that are associated with our type. It's like reading a horoscope, but with more depth. Have you heard of the sigma male personality test? I recently came across it, and I'm interested to see what my results would be. Let's compare our results.

I am INTJ, I am not a scientist of the test tube variety, I took a social science degree and library qualifications and ended up running an engineering library and then worked collecting data and doing a job where I was working out statistical data. I took the test years ago at University, I am however married to a scientist of the test tube variety.

It is exactly like horoscopes and enneagrams and tarot, a fun way of looking at yourself and gaining insight into your way of being in the world.

AndYou · 08/06/2023 08:54

@WouldYouHaveAproblem this is an anonymous online forum, statistically speaking the amount of introverted, socially anxious people should be way above average. So a large amount of IN traits is to be expected. You only have to look at the I have zero friends, I never answer the door, people freaking out at the thought of speaking to a parent at the school gate threads to see that.

DaisyWaldron · 08/06/2023 08:56

Mine is very accurate. I always come out as INFP
But it's not really like a horoscope, because that's based on random factors. This is more a case of getting you to describe how you behave and replying by describing how you usually behave. It's not magic, it something that determines your life, just a particular way of categorising.

PizzazzRoxyStorma · 08/06/2023 08:59

I am also INTJ. The irony of having all the INTJs here is that INTJ is supposed to be one of the rarest female types - but the most likely to be interested in Myers Briggs and the most likely to post on a board like this!

hotjuneafternoon · 08/06/2023 09:04

INFJ personality types are often autistic too, apparently

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 08/06/2023 09:08

INFJ here - definitely not a scientist 😁 it’s amazing what a difference one letter can make, isn’t it.

i always come out the same, and like pp find it an accurate description. I realise it’s a bit pseudoscience, but i enjoy reading about how the different facets interact - it’s always nice to recognise yourself in a description and realise there are others who feel like you.

IsisoftheWalbrook · 08/06/2023 09:28

INTJ here too. Engineer.

There’s little science to it; it is really just regurgitating your own answers back at you. I did find it interesting, though. We all did it at work and my whole team were INTJ.

It’s a nonsensical ‘test’ based on simplifications of unevidenced and long-discredited theories, and any perceived resemblance to an individual’s personality is due to the Barnum effect.

Nailed it.

whumpthereitis · 08/06/2023 09:49

It describes you in response to how you’ve described yourself, so it’s unsurprising that people consider it accurate. One glaring issue with it is bias, and the ability of people to accurately and reliably describe their actual self, as opposed to what they perceive themselves to be.

I’ve done it for fun and more formally a few times. My result was always ENTJ.
