I have awkward ears so the only earphones that I find comfortable for more than 30 mins are these. There isn't a bluetooth version of them, so when I got a new iPhone I couldn't listen to audiobooks while I walked the dog anymore. But I have just found out that bluetooth receivers exist, and now I have this (which is much tinier than it looks in the photos).

Of course I wouldn't have needed it if Apple hadn't take away the headphone ports in the first place, but still I'm very happy now.

My Apple Watch. I get a lot of work emails and messages on Teams/WhatsApp. I can glance at my watch and not pick up my phone which almost inevitably results in my faffing about online.

[quote PinkFootstool]My Wee Shoogle. My bloody laptop times out after 2mins, meaning you have to hard restart it and you lose everything on your screen which is SUCH a faff if all you've done is nip to the loo or are making a cuppa. Settings on the laptop are set to national policy, so can't be changed. This little beauty has saved me SO much time every day.

Oh I love this thread.
I bought a cheap version of an apple watch (I do android) for £70 three years ago. It's brilliant, I can view messages, it acts as a fitness watch, timer, alarms etc. The battery lasts around 6 weeks and it has a little light that gives 15 seconds of illumination in the night.

Google home. We've got it set up so we can say "add milk to my shopping list" and it puts milk on the list which I can then bring up on my phone when I'm shopping. So handy! I also ask it to set timers when I'm cooking. It's also handy for broadcasting messages to the rest of the house so I can just tell it "dinners ready" and it will get all the Google devices to say that so whatever room their in DH/DC know that it's dinner time.
