Does anyone know about travel between Northern Ireland and Ireland?

If so, what are the Covid rules? If someone is unvaccinated and wanted to travel from Northern Ireland to Ireland, do they have to have a PCR test, as they would if they were travelling from England? And are there proper borders, or do you just drive over like between England, Wales and Scotland?

It seems that lateral flow tests will do (as long as they're negative). You should be able to drive over the border as usual, carry ID just in case (a passport if possible).

It's just like England, Scotland and Wales. Only thing that changes is the road markings and signs. Don't think you need any testing to travel between the two states.

There are no set borders; that would be impossible as there are so many back roads between the two parts. I lived near there and the only way you could be sure which country /region you were in was the colour of the pillar /post boxes, Red, you were still in the UK; green and in Eire.

So be fully aware of the different regs and respect them fully. And just drive over.

Many live on one side and work on the other.
