Planting winter pansies

Is it too late to plant winter pansies?

I fail sooo much at gardening.

I planted some last week. It's not too late. They look very healthy. I dug the soil over before planting to make it easier for their roots to grow and gave them seaweed plant food when I planted them. I've been watering them as well as it has been dry for a few days and their roots won't be established yet.

Thank you, so a good dig, lots of water and a feed?

I have no idea what I'm doing. Really appreciate the help.

Yes, I bought a tray of 24 of them from a garden centre, they were already well established with flowers. I think it cost about a fiver.

I was worried slugs would get them as that usually happens but I've been leaving holes for hedgehogs to get through and there has been no slug damage at all. I don't want to use slug pellets as it would kill the hedgehogs.

I'm in the Midlands in the UK, so still quite warm, although they are supposed to tolerate colder weather.

I don't know much about gardening but they seem to be ok.

I'm in Yorkshire, but it's fairly sheltered. Slugs come in hordes here but I have some organic slug pellets.

Also, I have some very cheap beer for slug traps, but that hasn't worked so well.

Consider primula as well. They last well in any spot that's not too dry

@hedgehogger1 I'll see what I can find in the shops. There's a farm shop near us that does plants so I'll start there. I like primula as well.
