Pretty please.

If I am a dual national, living in a green country, travelling to the UK, I need:

A PCR test to get on the plane
A PCR test on day 2 in the UK
A PCR test to get back on the plane to the green country

Is that right?

I am sooooooooo confused.

@BikeRunSki

Haze you been vaccinated?
Confused what’s that got to do with anything.

Helenluvsrob day 2 test is a Uk requirement. You have to fill in the reference number of your pre-booked and paid for day 2 test on the passenger locator form to be allowed to board a flight to the UK. Its nothing to do with the home country.

Suzi888 vaccination status is relevant to quarantine rukes and to whether you need test results to board a return flight to many home countries. My country requires passengers to either be fully vaccinated, have proof of having recovered from covid-19 within the last 6 minths, or have proof of a negative test within 24 hours only if not vaccinated/ able to prove infection and recovery.

I don't think I'd even be allowed in the airport in Canada unless I was double vaxxed so it is relevant!

Thanks fo everyone. Booking the day two test is the piece I need to think about.

Well, some people are exempt from vaccination so not everyone will be fully vaccinated.

UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme · 20/09/2021 08:01

Suzi888 nevertheless it is relevant to the answers to the OP's questions! Most countries require either proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative test less than 24 hours old - fully vaccinated people don't need the test in most countries, people who can't get vaccinated can get tested. Some countries also accept proof of recent recovery.
The UK requires paid for private tests even if vaccinated but has had different quarantine rules for vaccinated and non vaccinated travellers in some cases.

@Suzi888

Well, some people are exempt from vaccination so not everyone will be fully vaccinated.
And the rules that apply to them may be different to those who are fully vaccinated. Of course it's a valid question!

@Suzi888

The rules vary as to whether you are vaccinated or not - both into the UK and into other countries. Even for the vaccinated, it can vary if you don't have a vaccine that is accepted by the country you are entering.

So vaccine status is a highly relevant question.

@Suzi888

It's clearly a valid question. I'm a bit Confused you can't see that. I also would travel if I wasn't.

I'm assuming I can have a send away (completely pointless) 2 day test but I need an in person travel release one to get back on a plane!
