Would it be a waste of time and money to take my 3 years & 3month old DD to see Paw Patrol?

You know your DD best. Will she sit quietly and not winge or fidget?

Fedupcyclist · 16/09/2021 13:12

I honestly don’t know!
She likes watching telly at home …. Grin

I’m concerned that it’s £40 (I’m near London!) for me her & DH

We started smaller at that age with the bing or duggee cinema showings- small episodes totally 9mins. She sat through paw patrol this summer now 4.

They will all be fidgeting and wanting a wee and shuffling In seats but it's a ginormous TV screen she will either watch it or not.

Motherofmonsters · 16/09/2021 13:16

I took my 4 year old who has sitting still issues and he was fine sitting watching the paw patrol movie. The film is very emotional though and he's very sensitive so he sobbed through it all

Ouchy expensive is there not a Saturday club or just take her on your own during the week does the cinema not have a cheap day.

I took DS to see paw patrol. He is 3.5. He was all delighted with his popcorn tray and drink. Half an hour in he asked to go home 😂 he went to the toilet and faffed about a bit but we managed the whole film

Binjob118 · 16/09/2021 13:20

My just 4:year old loved Paw patrol and he has never sat through a full movie at home. I did make sure we had lots of nice snacks though!!

Quirrelsotherface · 16/09/2021 13:20

Took mine at around 2.5 and they were great. Behaved well and enjoyed the film. Totally depends on the child I would say though, do they sit through films at home?

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 16/09/2021 13:22

£40???? I’m in london, it was £7 a ticket at vue and odeon

newnameswhothis · 16/09/2021 13:24

My DD has loved the cinema since just before she turned 3. My nephew who is 5 still wouldn't sit at peace all the way through. Totally depends on the child

TooOldandTired · 16/09/2021 13:25

Is there no family viewings you could go to? £40 is ridiculous. Even full price around here (near London) the most you would pay is £25 for 2 adults + child.
If you have tesco club cards and have a cineworld near you, you can get vouchers with your points. Of is there a smaller cinema near you, our does a £5 each tickets on certain showings.
But to answer your question if you 3.5 likes TV and will sit quietly in front of it for any reasonable length of time I think you will have no problem.

NerrSnerr · 16/09/2021 13:28

It's fully dependent on the child. My eldest would have sat through it and loved it at that age, my youngest wouldn't have done.

I wouldn't spend £40 on a Paw Patrol movie, I'd just pay for one adult (and play Rock Paper Scissors to decide who gets the quiet hour off).

WaltzingTilda · 16/09/2021 13:31

My friend took her lg of similar age to see paw patrol. Apparently her lo was okay in there. My friend took strawberries and raspberries for the lo to keep munching whilst watching. My one, on the other hand (of similar age), won't cope.

girlmom21 · 16/09/2021 13:32

My 2yo loved the paw patrol movie. We went and watched bing a few weeks ago too.

HelplessProcrastinator · 16/09/2021 13:33

Wait until kids AM or equivalent to test her out. Much cheaper and you won’t feel robbed if she gets bored half way through. My DD2 who was relatively placid and loved TV didn’t sit through a film at the cinema until 4. Can’t quite get over £40 for 3 cinema tickets. It’s half that here (Devon).

WaltzingTilda · 16/09/2021 13:34

I don't think £40 is worth it , unless you/dh are paw patrol fans tbh. Take her to Old Macdonalds Farm for a few more ££ and she'll enjoy it xx

Heckythump1 · 16/09/2021 13:34

Took my oldest to see Paw Patrol at 2.5, she loved it (and the popcorn!)
