Need a bra for doing yoga, 32HH

If you're a size 32HH in sports bras, what do you wear to do yoga? I would like a non-underwired bra to slouch around in.

I've tried two different Shock Absorber bras in the past, they were terrible and I hated them. I do have the classic non-underwired one from Panache that I use for exercise, but although it's supportive, it's far too bulky for yoga as I need to do lots of twists and turns.

Please note I'm looking for a specific bra, not a shop, so please, no "Why don't you go to Brav/Rigby/John Lewis etc, as I'm going to be buying online.

And yes, I am wearing the right fucking size and I know how a properly fitting bra is supposed to look, so please, this is not the thread for you to get on your soapbox ;)

The other thing that might work is something like this:

Given it is just for doing yoga. I don’t have one at the minute, but I had their sleep bra when I was breastfeeding and it was really comfy.

Okay I've just searched for the email from when I bought the yoga bra I'm currently using, and I bought it in March 2020, so 1.5 years ago. I've been doing yoga twice a week at home so no wonder it's worn out. It's a style they no longer make, but I'm definitely going to check out the Freya Dynamic bra, especially as they actually make it in a HH.

This one also might fit the bill - first review says it’s like a ‘light sports bra’: www.bravissimo.com/products/serene-bralette-ln847/#teal-green-ln847teg

Although the Freya Dynamic does look very much like the Shock Absorber bra I had, so I hope it's not going to be the same problem.

Feel free to keep your suggestions coming in. I've placed an order for the Freya Dynamic but I'm not sure it's going to be right for me as it looks similar to the Shock Absorber one. It seems like Freya have really reduced their range of sports bras since I last looked. I've had a couple of underwired Freya sports bras in the past that have been fine, but I'm still not quite sure about the Dynamic.

I like bravissimo atlas

tectonicplates · 16/09/2021 14:34

Any more ideas please? I've ordered the Freya one but would also like to consider something else.

It's a million miles from a jogging bra, but I'd be going with a Freya Fancies bralette, in medium or large.

It's not advertised as a sports bra, but for me, it holds my boobs in a comfortable and natural fashion whilst allowing gentle movement and no pinchy clasps. I've done walks and hikes in them.

(32J here, whose just been stabbed in the tit by a bra I thought was my friend)

Ringsender2 · 16/09/2021 15:20

have you looked on ebay / other selling sites for the discontinued bra, OP?

tectonicplates · 16/09/2021 16:15

@thecatsthecats I already have one of those, in a size M. Out of interest, if you're a 32J, what size do you have in the bralette? There is just no way it would hold me in enough to do yoga, but thanks for the thought.

@Ringsender2 Yes I have, and sadly there isn't one in a 32H, but even if there was, it's too small anyway and was never made in a HH so I'm taking the opportunity to find something that fits better anyway.

@mumsiedarlingrevolta I already have that classic Panache sports bra for high impact stuff. It is way too bulky for yoga, as is the non-underwired version. I really need something a lot more slouchy but still with support, just not such a thick fabric.

I have a small, medium and a large for different times of the month (ok, the small was for when I was at my smallest!).

I find the medium holds me very well for light exercise tbf, but all boobs are different (the bastards). The tiny extra amount of boob I have on you might keep me more secure.

I totally get what you mean about oversized clunky big bras. I hate my current sports bra because it panders to the obsession of putting boobs in a certain place rather than strapping them down and enabling movement.

Three0fivepointfour · 16/09/2021 17:45

Anita Rosa Faia soft cup. They aren’t yoga bras but I find they are supportive, thick straps, comfortable and don’t budge. They’re a traditional fasten at the back bra so if you can’t stand laying on a bra clasp they aren’t for you.

tectonicplates · 16/09/2021 18:12

Looks like they only go up to H, but thanks anyway.

OP posts:
CuriousaboutSamphire · 16/09/2021 18:17

Panache. I'm 38 H and they are bloody comfortable, and I used to be an aerobics and kickboxercise instructor!

Their high impact sports bra is brilliant.

I know you didn't ask but the poorly named website, Boobydoo, might be worth a look. They have a lot of large sports bras.

misspurple90 · 16/09/2021 18:34

Have your tried Triumph TRIACTION? I bought a sports bra from the actual shop (75G/34F) and it fits perfectly, I love it. Using for gym workout so not running or anything like that. Worth a try maybe?

tectonicplates · 16/09/2021 18:46

@CuriousaboutSamphire Been there, done that, Panache isn't suitable as already explained due to being too bulky.

@misspurple90 That Triumph bra only goes up to E!

dementedpixie · 16/09/2021 18:50

Would those molke ones work if its low impact?

ssd · 16/09/2021 18:54

The panache one you're talking about @tectonicplates, is it the grey one?

tectonicplates · 16/09/2021 18:55

Ah, I've tried Molke bras in the past and they don't work for me. Thanks though.

OP posts:
CorrBlimeyGG · 16/09/2021 18:56

It's underwired, but I wear a Panache Tango II for yoga. More than supportive enough to keep me in place.

ssd · 16/09/2021 18:57

Actually just realised, the latte panache sports bra comes in hh but is underwired

ssd · 16/09/2021 18:58

Can you get enough support without a bit of wire @tectonicplates? Im hh too and wouldn't dare trying it, theyd be on the floor
