Vent or Condenser tumble dryer!

I'm about to replace my condenser tumble dryer.
It wasn't that great tbh but the newer ones seem better..
But what do you have?
Thanks

We have one which was vented but we moved it temporarily and so have been using it in condensing mode. It is so much quicker than it was when vented. It’s much better.

We have an unvented one, with a heat pump. Definitely cheaper over the lifetime of the machine if you use it just about every day, as we do. I did the sums. I'm a bit tightfisted, and I like being able to sling stuff in without really needing to think about the cost of drying because it really is quite cheap to run.

@PickAChew you can clean the one on our Bosch heat pump one - it's very easy and is on a panel at the bottom.

Have a Samsung heat exchange condenser and have had it plumbed into the mains. That's been the best benefit, along with it not putting up our bills. (Have switched to an electric boiler 3 years ago instead of gas - was worried our bills would go up, but they've gone down.) We use our dryer in the winter when it's too wet to hang outside (or we know it simply wouldn't dry, even on a 'dry' day) and we're really pleased with it.

*Also have one of the Samsung 'ad-wash' washing machines with the little door in the front so you can add that annoying sock you dropped on the stairs even if the wash programme has started Grin. Would recommend that too!

Can you pull it out and run it under the shower? I don't mean the filter, I mean the whole heat exchanger. When I was shopping for our current dryer, this wasn't possible for any of the heat pump dryers I looked at.
